NEW GOLD HORIZON stamps
Re-issued in Wales on 20th April 2010 and this time can be used for all levels of postage, where as in Camden trail - Special Delivery only. To date I have only 2 examples. One arrived on a package to me for a client returning goods in Pembrokeshire endorsed 1PK SA62 - 06/05/10. The other in endorsed 1L GL20 (Tewesbury) 26/04/10. It would appear that these have now been released Nationally. I have just received a package posted in Leicester on 27/05 with one on it. Unfortunately it is serously damaged. Mint examples are now turning up all over the place. Prices for mint examples are available around the web from as little as £1 a pair. Remember these have a zero face value.

MISSING SECURITY OVERLAY.
The DLR printing was discovered in the North of England in early September 2009 in kiloware as a block of 18 postmarked Devon & Exeter 23 APR 2009. This was broken down into a couple of pairs and some singles. I purchased the unique piece with 10 remaining. With Type 1 cut-outs. See below.

Following extensive investigations. Royal Mail have finally admitted at Stampex 2010 that these are genuine, at the Key Account holders meeting and giving their source. Also I have got this information plus more (approx date of issue) on the telephone from senior staff at Royal Mail. They come from coils of 10,000, they produced between 100 to 500 rolls of these for sale to large business WITHOUT the security overprint (therefore it is not an error) but it was released in November 2008, prior to announced release of standard secuity stamps. I have contacted Stanley Gibbons regarding Catalogue status of this stamp. In order to obtain Catalogue status, one of two things must happen. 1 - Stanley Gibbons will talk to the person (and others who were present at the time), who raised the question regarding these at the meeting to confirm what I have stated as being correct, or 2 - confirmation is required in writing from Royal Mail, but as yet they have declined to do so, with the reason given "as this would enhance the value of the stamp beyond its face value".
2 items reported here earlier this month - "2 x 1st class gold security stamps MISSING OVERPRINT type 2a cutouts" following detailed examination under natural light, can now be confirmed as very very weak printing of the security overprint.
1st Class Gold - Walsall Printing
2nd Class Blue -
4 SECURITY CUTOUTS. - ALL are fakes. See note below.
1st & 2nd class stamps with 4 security slits.
These have now proven beyond all reasonable doubt to be fake with 2nd set of cutouts added at a later date. The object I believe to defrand the unsuspecting stamp collector into buying an "error!". Also the majority so far known to date are all postmarked in the Devon area. It is estimated that at least 15 to 20 of each exsist and have been changing hands at £15+ each.
One very odd point to note, appears that all the 4 cut-outs other than Airmail stamp below have been found by one source in kiloware consigned to Singapore. It is very odd with all the 000's of sorters worldwide, NO-ONE else has found any!!!
Also reported is a 40g Airmail stamp with 4 cut-outs. Royal Mail have denounced this as a definate FAKE.
FORGERIES.

I am looking to purchase any modern decimal forged stamps in used condition and on any type of complete entire or blocks on piece as above. All items must be free from any damage. This is the earliest date & largest dated block of 18 1st class gold forgeries known to exsist. Postmarked. Cheshire 16 DEC 2004. This is NOT FOR SALE. It has been reported that these began to appear as early as August 2004. To date I have not seen any items with dates preceding the block above, to confirm this. Just aquired a single with clear Dec 2004 date.
BUYING - Prices on request subject to condition. Mainly required on cover or singles with clear early usage CDS during issue period. I do not require any unfranked / uncancelled used stamps.
24p Red Brown
24p Forgery, Chestnut perf 11 (in photo normal on right).
. WANTED any used examples with dated postmarked from mid 1993 to mid 1994. Later examples and any undated cancels also required.
2nd Class Blue
Source - 10 x 2nd class booklet. (Questa)
This is probably one of the best modern forgeries to come to light. I is quite difficult to distinquish between genuine and forgery. In booklet form it is relatively easy.
Mint examples - Gum is of a matt appearance with blue spots
Use singles are hard to identify. Phos band appears to be of a yellowish tint visable under normal light, (This on its own is not a guarantee the stamp is a forgery, some genuine issues have a yellowish band). Quality of the printing is poor compared to genuine Questa printing.

WANTED any used examples.
1st Class Gold - Elipical perfs
WANTED any EARLY used dated postmarks 2004 to mid 2005. I will consider later dated postmarks. Not required are any indistinct or wavy line postmarks or any unfranked.
1st Class Gold PIP - Dagger Wavy Line Perf
Perf is a wavy type perf
To date very few of these have been found. Only a couple have be found on complete commercial covers (one in my personal collection) and quite a few used examples are known to exsist. All have wavy line postmarks and many unfranked. Recently, mid March 2010 reports have been coming in from various source in the stamp trade of more of these coming to light. A still concidered a relatively scarce stamp still worth looking out for in kiloware. Possible investment for the future!!. As more and more have come to light prices have fallen some-what with postmarked used singles off cover are now selling at around £5 - £15. Fully dated CDS examples command a premium price if dated mid to late 2009. Many "used" examples found are Mint No Gum these sell around £1 - £5 each. On cover well still very scarce, less than 10 have so far been found, I have heard of selling prices being quoted at £100++!! BUYING ANY EXAMPLES in any reasonable condition.
1st Class Gold - Dagger Wavy Line Perf - Type 1
NEW 1st class gold forgery
Perfs same as PIP, see above, but now with 1st in bottom left corner. To date this is the largest known piece to date. Earliest known date is 6-06-10 used in Sheffield where majority started to appear from, By August 2010 they were appearing with postmarks from London and Wales. They are being sold in booklets of 12, imitating Wallsall printings and still have matrix intact. WANTED ANY USED EXAMPLES preferably with dated postmarks, wavy lines also required. BUYING PRICE on request.
